Although associative learning is one of the simplest forms of learning and has been studied extensively, its interpretation in humans is still a matter of heated debate. Views differ notably with regard to whether associative learning grounds high level thinking or, rather, is itself a product of high-level hypothesis-testing mechanisms. This conference will feature advocates of both points of view.
